Portrait: Kiril Kirkov I am a visual ethnographer. I am also a freelance photographer, and a filmmaker. My areas of research include social dynamics, based on global migration, transnationalism and migrant integration, and working with indigenous peoples of the American Southwest. My transnational team develops a long-term experimental visual research "New Roots" in Vienna, Austria with the support of the UN Refugee Agency and EGA - The Women’s Center of Vienna. I am a member of the American Anthropological Association, Phi Kappa Phi, Delta Phi Alpha, and Phi Theta Kappa honor societies. My collaborative documentary films have been screened in the United States, France, Germany, and Austria. My photography work has been published in different media in Europe and the United States, including the Arizona Highways magazine, and a permanent installation at Flagstaff Pulliam Airport. I split my time between Arizona, and Bulgaria.
