My work revolves around social dynamics influenced by global migration and transnationalism. I enjoy exploring the interplay between cultures, particularly in my work with indigenous communities of the American Southwest. This exploration fuels my creativity and informs my approach to both teaching and photography.
In my photography, I aim to convey the authentic experiences of individuals and communities. My style is driven by a desire to capture genuine moments. I often collaborate on projects that highlight stories of resilience and adaptation, such as the "New Roots" project based in Vienna, which examines the lives of migrants and their integrations into new environments. My photography has been featured in various publications across Europe and the United States, including Arizona Highways magazine, and has found a permanent home in installations like the one at Flagstaff Pulliam Airport.
My journey as an artist intertwines with my academic pursuits and research. As a member of organizations like the International Visual Sociology Association and the Ethnografilm Festival in Paris, I engage with fellow creatives to further explore visual anthropology. I am continually developing new ways to integrate social research and storytelling, recently focusing on mobile storytelling to enhance the impact of visual narratives.
